Description
Geoscience Australia, in collaboration with geological surveys from the United Kingdom, Norway, and Ireland, developed this standardized classification tool. The International Seabed Geomorphology Mapping Working Group's Seabed Geomorphology Classifier (ISGM-SGC) implements a two-part framework for classifying seabed shapes with geomorphic interpretation. It was last updated in March 2026.
