Description
A modelled geospatial dataset assessing coastal erosion hazard zones in the Inverloch region. The assessment is based on sea level rise scenarios of 0m (2020), 0.2m (2040), 0.5m (2070), and 0.8m (2100), combined with storm events of 1%, 5%, and 10% annual exceedance probability. The dataset was published by the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action and last updated on 2026-04-28.
Use Cases
Modeling future coastal erosion extents based on specified sea level rise scenarios.
Assessing infrastructure vulnerability by overlaying hazard zones with asset maps.
Informing land-use planning and development restrictions based on projected erosion hazard zones.
Comparing storm event impacts (1%, 5%, 10% AEP) on coastal erosion under different sea level rise planning horizons.
Strengths
Includes four specific sea level rise scenarios with associated planning years (0m/2020, 0.2m/2040, 0.5m/2070, 0.8m/2100).
