Antarctic research personnel at Scott Base, McMurdo Station, and South Pole Station were studied for immune system adaptation to extreme isolation. The SCIOPS organization collected blood, throat swabs, nasal swabs, and nasal wash samples from personnel across four periods from October 1975 to September 1976. A total of 11 viral isolates were obtained from specimens inoculated into cell cultures at the bases.
License information is unknown. The dataset's age (1976) may present challenges for integration with modern data formats or standards. Specific column names and data structure are not provided.
