Kenya hosts over 500,000 refugees and asylum seekers, with the Kakuma camps holding about 40% of this population. This survey, initiated jointly by UNHCR and the World Bank, collected data from approximately 2,122 households in the Kakuma Refugee Camps and Kalobeyei Settlement between October and December 2019. It was designed to measure poverty, labor markets, and welfare indicators for refugees, who are not systematically included in national household surveys.
