Kernel Density Analyses of Coral and Sponge Catches from Eastern Canada (2016)

Kernel density estimation (KDE) was applied to trawl survey data from Eastern Canada, including the Gulf of Saint Lawrence, to model biomass surfaces for sponges, small and large gorgonian corals, and sea pens. The analysis updates previous work with up to 5 additional years of data and identifies significant concentration areas.
