Description
A permafrost core drilled in a Yedoma upland in northeast Siberia (72.36613 N, 126.27272 E) in September 2017 provides the source material. The dataset contains volumetric measurements of ice, organic matter, mineral, gas, and sediment phases derived from laboratory analysis and X-ray computed tomography (CT) scans. It was created by Jan Nitzbon of the Alfred-Wegener-Institut Helmholtz-Zentrum für Polar- und Meeresforschung to supplement a research article submitted to The Cryosphere.
