Lakes Surveillance Network: Water Quality and Site Data for England

Since April 2024, this dataset provides an initial, partial collection of water quality samples, physical parameters, and sampling locations from a statistically designed national monitoring network of 420 lakes across England. The data is produced by the UK Environment Agency under the Natural Capital and Ecosystem Assessment (NCEA) programme, with further biological and chemical assessments to be released up to 2028. It supports condition assessment and change detection for lake health.
