Description
Global land surface temperature data from January 2021 onwards, provided by The European Environment Agency (EEA). The dataset offers hourly observations at a spatial resolution of approximately 5 kilometers, representing the radiative skin temperature of land surfaces. It is designed for use in meteorological, hydrological, and environmental studies.
Use Cases
Calibrating and validating meteorological models based on land surface temperature.
Studying land-atmosphere energy and water exchange processes based on radiative skin temperature.
Monitoring climate change impacts on land surfaces based on global, hourly temperature observations.
Supporting hydrological and agricultural models that require accurate surface temperature inputs.
Strengths
Global spatial coverage.
Hourly temporal resolution from January 2021 onwards.
Spatial resolution of about 5 kilometers.
