Land use and cover patterns for the Austin, Texas metropolitan area are provided at eight time points from 1992 to 2016 with a 30-meter spatial resolution. The dataset was created by researchers analyzing urban form dynamics and published in a 2020 scientific paper. It originates from the ENVIDAT organization and was last updated in 2022.
The 1992 NLCD data required reclassification using a customized Arcpy package due to a different urban land class system. The core UMT distribution and area transition tables are found in the associated scientific paper's appendices.
