The 1958 Lituya Bay landslide and tsunami event, which produced a 524-meter run-up, is modeled using a multi-phase incompressible smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH) method. Antonios Xenakis developed this method, which includes non-Newtonian rheology, soil saturation, and turbulence modeling. This work demonstrates the method's ability to realistically reproduce both the run-up and landslide-entry profile documented in a benchmark experiment.
