Public Health – Seattle & King County provides data on lead concentrations in consumer products collected from community testing events, in-home investigations, and research purchases. Two testing methods, X-ray fluorescence screening and laboratory analysis, are used to measure lead in items ranging from cookware to cosmetics. Results are reported in parts per million (ppm) and can be compared to regulatory limits.
