LCSPP-AVHRR v3.2 is a long-term, reconstructed photosynthesis proxy derived from calibrated AVHRR surface reflectance data. The dataset provides biweekly data at a 0.05° spatial resolution from 1982 to 2000, created by Jianing Fang of Columbia University. It is designed as a solar-induced chlorophyll fluorescence (SIF)-informed proxy for tracking vegetation photosynthetic activity, not as direct SIF measurements.
Data is divided across two Zenodo repositories due to size; this entry covers 1982-2000. A companion LCSPP-MODIS dataset exists for 2001-2023. Users are advised to rely only on observed (QA=0) and high-quality gap-filled (QA=1) values.
