Lower Layer Super Output Areas (LSOAs) are digital vector boundaries representing small statistical geographies used for census and neighborhood analysis. The dataset provides four boundary versions: full-resolution (extent of the realm and coastline-clipped), generalised (20m), and super generalised (200m) for mapping at different scales. It covers England and Wales as of 31 December 2011 and contains intellectual property from both Ordnance Survey and the Office for National Statistics.
Contains both Ordnance Survey and ONS Intellectual Property Rights. Available under the OGL-UK-3.0 license. Users should ensure the chosen boundary version (e.g., clipped vs. extent of the realm) matches their analytical needs regarding coastline representation.
