The central field of the Andromeda galaxy (M 31) was monitored from 2006 to 2012, with archival data starting in 1999, using the Chandra HRC-I detector. NASA compiled a catalog of 318 X-ray point sources from 64 observations totaling about 1 Ms exposure time, providing long-term variability information over 13 years. The catalog includes 115 X-ray binary candidates and 14 globular cluster candidates, aiding the study of X-ray populations in a neighboring spiral galaxy.
