Geoscience Australia conducted field surveys in Jervis Bay, New South Wales, to collect co-located physical and biological data for researching biodiversity surrogates in soft-sediment habitats. Outputs include high-resolution multibeam acoustic datasets, underwater video footage for habitat characterisation, and seabed sediment and infauna samples. A progress report on this work was presented at the CERF Marine Biodiversity Hub's Annual Science Workshop in October 2008.
