377 studies were analyzed to explore the relationship between somatosensory impairment and arm function after stroke. The review, authored by Sarah Steinfort and last updated in April 2026, found that 74.8% of studies measured somatosensation and sensorimotor function, but only 3.7% reported outcomes across the full continuum including real-world participation. This work highlights a significant research gap in linking sensory deficits to daily life activities.
