Gulf of Mexico Seawater Microbiome 16S rRNA Data from 2015 Cruises

May to August 2015 data from two DEEPEND research cruises in the northern Gulf of Mexico. The dataset contains 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequences from seawater samples filtered at depths from 0 to 1500 meters. Bioinformatics analyses in QIIME and R were used to assess microbial community diversity and composition in relation to environmental parameters.
