Scientific studies on the Barnicarndy 1 well core, drilled in 2019 in the Canning Basin, Western Australia, recovered organic-walled microfossils and molecular fossils. The dataset includes results from processing 42 drill core samples and detailed biomarker analysis of seven samples with the highest organic content. This work was presented at the 2022 Australian Organic Geochemistry Conference.
