High-Resolution 3D X-Ray Tomography and Acoustic Data of Porous Rock Shear Failure

A combined dataset captures the micro-scale mechanisms and acoustic response during shear failure of Clashach sandstone. It includes a time-series of 3D synchrotron x-ray microtomography volumes, local 3D strain fields, acoustic emissions waveforms, and ultrasonic velocity surveys. The data were acquired in-situ at the Diamond Light Source in September 2019.
