Description
57 reviews and 57 original studies were included in an umbrella review exploring micronutrient links to COVID-19. The analysis, registered as PROSPERO CRD42022353953, found vitamin D, zinc, and calcium deficiencies increased mortality by 0.53-fold, 0.46-fold, and 5.99-fold, respectively. Literature searches were conducted on PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, Cochrane Library, and Scopus in July and October 2022.
