England-wide modelled fluvial flood depth data, produced in 2004 as part of a generalised modelling project to define flood zones for spatial planning. The data provides a high-level sensitivity analysis of climate change effects, simulating a 20% increase in peak flows for 0.1% and 1% annual chance flood events. It was generated using the JFlow two-dimensional hydrodynamic model on a 5x5 meter grid but has not been updated since its creation.
This data is part of the Approval for Access product AfA480. It carries a strong warning that it is not suitable for identifying whether an individual property will flood, for detailed decision-making, or for site-specific assessments. More recent and accurate local modelling may be available from local Environment Agency offices.
