England-wide modelled fluvial flood depth data, produced in 2004 using the JFlow hydrodynamic model on a 5x5m grid. The dataset provides a high-level sensitivity analysis for climate change effects, simulating a 20% increase in peak flows for 1% and 0.1% annual chance flood events. It was created to fill gaps in detailed local modelling for spatial planning and defines extents of Flood Zones.
Data is distributed as ZIP files for specific grid tiles. A strong warning states it is not suitable for identifying flooding of individual properties, detailed decision-making, or site-specific assessments. More recent, accurate local modelling may be available from local Environment Agency offices.
