MODIS Derived Primary Productivity Hotspots for Australian Waters, 2002-2014

Long-term primary productivity hotspots of ocean surface waters derived from NASA MODIS satellite imagery. Monthly chlorophyll a images between July 2002 and August 2014 were processed using NASA's SeaDAS software to calculate the likelihood of a location being a hotspot. This research was supported by Australia's National Environmental Science Program Marine Biodiversity Hub.
