MODIS Derived Primary Productivity: Overall Hotspots indicates long-term primary productivity hotspots in ocean surface waters. The dataset was derived from MODIS (Aqua) satellite images processed with NASA's SeaDAS software, using monthly chlorophyll a data from July 2002 to August 2014. This research is supported by the National Environmental Science Program (NESP) Marine Biodiversity Hub and made available by the Australian Ocean Data Network.
