Morocco Subnational Rainfall: Dekadal Indicators and Anomalies

WFP provides dekadal rainfall indicators for Morocco aggregated by subnational administrative units using CHIRPS v2 satellite imagery and CHIRPS-GEFS forecasts. The data includes 10-day, 1-month, and 3-month rainfall totals, long-term averages, and percentage anomalies. Records are updated six times per month to transition from forecasts to final observations.

• Drought monitoring by analyzing the rainfall anomaly percentage (rfq) to identify regions with significant precipitation deficits
• Agricultural season tracking by comparing 3-month rolling aggregations (r3h) against historical averages (r3h_avg)
• Short-term climate impact assessment using the 'type' column to compare initial forecasts against final rainfall (rfh) observations
