Extreme ultraviolet (21.7 eV) multidimensional angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy data isolates the role of orbital texture in photoemission from the transition metal dichalcogenide 1T-TiTe2. The dataset compares experimental results from two mirror-symmetric crystal orientations with theoretical calculations from a quantitative one-step model and a tight-binding model. Samuel Beaulieu of the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique authored this research, which demonstrates the link between momentum-dependent orbital orientation and intrinsic linear dichroism.
