NACP MCI: Top-Down CO2 Flux Estimates for the Upper Midwest, 2007

Net Ecosystem Exchange (NEE) flux estimates for the U.S. Upper Midwest in 2007 were produced by two atmospheric CO2 inversion systems. The continental Colorado State University and mesoscale Pennsylvania State University models were used to evaluate methods for CO2 flux inversion and data assimilation. Results are intended for comparison with bottom-up inventory estimates.
