Description
NanoMathDataset is a collection of approximately 4 million rows of basic arithmetic problems covering addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. It was created using a Python script and saved in Apache Parquet format by the author pedrodev2026. The dataset was last updated on June 3, 2026.
Use Cases
Training or fine-tuning language models on basic arithmetic operations based on the described coverage of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Benchmarking model performance on fundamental math tasks using the described synthetic data.
Creating educational tools or datasets for practicing elementary math skills based on the described arithmetic problems.
Strengths
Contains approximately 4 million rows of data, providing a substantial volume for training.
Covers four core arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) as described.
Limitations
Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download.
Row count is an approximate figure (~4M) and the exact size is unknown.
Description metadata is limited; actual data quality requires manual inspection after download.
