The National Automotive Sampling System Crashworthiness Data System (NASS-CDS) is a nationwide crash data collection program sponsored by the U.S. Department of Transportation. It collects detailed information on a sample of police-reported light motor vehicle traffic crashes from 24 geographic Primary Sampling Units (PSUs). The data are weighted to represent all such crashes in the USA involving passenger cars, light trucks, and vans that were towed due to damage.
Data is provided in TEXT file format; specific structure and parsing requirements are unknown. License is us-pd (U.S. Public Domain).
