The National Electronic Injury Surveillance System (NEISS) collects data on emergency department visits for injuries associated with consumer products in the United States. The dataset is maintained by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and estimates national injury prevalences from a sample of hospitals. Searchable data is available from January 1, 1991, to December 31, 2009.
Users must understand applicable product codes for their query date range, as codes change over time. Up to three product codes or code ranges can be specified per query.
