Description
Approximately 1.8 million gravity observations, including nearly 1.4 million ground stations and 451,000 line km of airborne surveys, were used to create this 2019 gravity grid. The Australian Ocean Data Network compiled data from government, industry, and academic sources dating from the 1940s to the present day. The resulting image shows the half vertical derivative of de-trended global isostatic residual anomalies over Australia and its continental margins at a cell size of approximately 435 meters.
