NOAA's National Status and Trends program collected data on sediment contamination, toxicity, and benthic community structure in Florida's St. Lucie Estuary from 2001 to 2004. The study employed a sediment quality triad approach with a probabilistic sampling design. This summary database was created by NOAA's National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI) as part of a prototype for a national data portal.
