A series of spatial maps describing the importance of suitable habitat within the current extent of native vegetation for rare or threatened species. These models were developed for use in native vegetation removal regulations under the 2017 rules, with thresholds applied to exclude lower likelihood areas from species-specific assessment. The data is provided by the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action and was last updated in April 2026.
For dispersed species, the values stored in the data must be divided by 100 to calculate the habitat importance score.
