NESP MaC 3.16: Maugean Skate Population Genomics and Acoustic Survey Data, 2023-2024

162 individual Maugean skate samples were sequenced to generate the first reference-quality whole and mitochondrial genomes for this endangered species. The project developed and tested new population monitoring methods using acoustic imaging sonar and genetic sequencing in Macquarie Harbour, Tasmania. Outputs include genome-wide population genetic structure datasets and a final project report from the Australian Ocean Data Network.
