Description
A 2023-2024 project by CSIRO and the Australian Ocean Data Network compiled an inventory of approximately 250 data records for 15 priority seabird, shorebird, and marine mammal species relevant to the Gippsland offshore renewable energy area. The inventory was created through workshops, surveys, and literature searches, identifying datasets on tracking, banding, diet, and species distribution from about 30 data holders. It aims to improve data discoverability for environmental assessment and regulatory processes.
