NESP MaC Project 4.17 - Supporting recovery and management of migratory shorebirds in Aust

A 2024-2026 project by the NESP Marine and Coastal Hub analyzes over one million observations of banded shorebirds to support their recovery in Australia. Outputs include an updatable dashboard for population parameters, a database of conservation actions, and a management handbook. The project supports international obligations under Ramsar, CMS, and bilateral migratory bird agreements.
