Description
Over 1,000 genetic tissue samples from New South Wales, combined with samples from South Australia and Western Australia, inform this study of white shark populations. The project, led by CSIRO, NSW DPI, SARDI, DPIRD, and Flinders University, used close-kin mark-recapture and satellite tagging to assess population size, trends, and habitat use. Outputs include updated population estimates and refined information on nursery and critical habitat areas to support recovery planning.
