NESP TWQ Project 5.6: Aesthetic Monitoring Program for the Great Barrier Reef, 2019-2020

A research project designed and implemented the Aesthetics Long Term Monitoring Program (ALTMP) for the Great Barrier Reef. The project included a research component to convert subjective aesthetic measurements into objective ones and provided baseline data representing a snapshot of aesthetic condition at a large number of below-water and above-water sites. This work builds on prior NESP TWQ projects 3.2.3 and 3.2.4, which used artificial intelligence to score photos and videos.
