Mentelle Basin Seismic Facies Mapping from 2D Data, 2008-09

Fourteen distinct seismic facies were identified in the Mentelle Basin based on new 2D seismic data. The dataset maps the post-rift depositional history from the Valanginian to Campanian periods, using stratigraphic constraints from DSDP wells 258 and 264. Geoscience Australia acquired the seismic data in 2008-09 for this study of the frontier basin located 200 km southwest of Perth.
