Tree ring width measurements from Mount Asahidake in Hokkaido, Japan, provide a paleoclimate record. The chronology spans 465 years, from 418 to 47 calendar years before present. The dataset was archived by NOAA's National Centers for Environmental Information and last updated in 1997.
Users must cite the original study when using the data. The calendar year notation uses 'years before present (BP)', where 0 BP is conventionally 1950 AD.
