Tree-ring fire-scar data from the Lost Woman site in New Mexico reconstructs historical fire events over a 525-year period from 483 to -42 calendar years before present. The dataset is archived by NOAA's World Data Service for Paleoclimatology and was last updated in 1992. It provides parameters for fire history derived from dendrochronological analysis.
Users must cite the study when using the data. The calendar year scale (BP) requires careful interpretation, with negative values indicating years after the present reference.
