Tree ring width measurements from ponderosa pine (PIPO) trees near West Side Road in the Sacramento Mountains of New Mexico provide a 384-year climate proxy record. The dataset, archived by NOAA's World Data Service for Paleoclimatology, covers the period from 340 to 44 calendar years before present. It was contributed by Wilkinson Kaye and last updated in 1994.
Data users must cite the original study (Wilkinson Kaye) when using the data, per NOAA archive requirements. The 'time period coverage' uses calendar years before present (BP), where 'present' is conventionally 1950 CE.
