NOAA Ship Thomas Jefferson collected Conductivity, Temperature, and Depth (CTD) measurements in the Gulf of Mexico during Cruise 03, Leg 1 from June 6 to June 26, 2010. This dataset provides processed physical oceanographic parameters, including dissolved oxygen and fluorometry, to support the Deepwater Horizon oil spill response. The final product consists of quality-checked NetCDF files for each CTD cast.
The future-dated 'last updated' metadata (2026) on Data.gov conflicts with the historical collection date and the NASA EarthData timestamp, suggesting a potential metadata error.
