Description
The NSW Property Address History Service combines NSW Land Parcel and Property data with NSW Geocoded Address data, enabling temporal analysis of changes. Spatial Services (DCS) provides this hosted feature layer, which includes Address Point, Pro Point, Waypoint, Property, Property Fragment, Address String, and Property Lot tables. The service is time-enabled, allowing data to be viewed or animated for specific periods from 2006 to the present.
Use Cases
Visualize historical property boundary changes over time based on the time-enabled feature layers.
Analyze trends in address assignment and geocoding based on the Address Point and Address String data.
Join property lot geometry with address attributes for temporal analysis using the described data model.
Strengths
The dataset is explicitly time-enabled, allowing for animation and analysis of changes over specific periods.
It combines two core datasets (Land Parcel and Property with Geocoded Addresses) into a single service.
A data model document is provided to show how attributes in the datasets can be linked.
Limitations
Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download or from the data model.
Data coverage is limited to the window from 2006 to the present, as stated in the description.
Row count is unknown, which may limit suitability assessment for large-scale analysis.
