New South Wales wetlands were mapped using Landsat MSS and TM imagery combined with ancillary wetland information. The data classifies wetlands into broad groups including floodplain wetlands, freshwater lakes, saline lakes, reservoirs, estuarine wetlands, and coastal lagoons and lakes. It was produced by the NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water and is documented in a 2004 research paper.
Data is provided in multiple geospatial formats (KML, WMS, ESRI REST) and a PDF, which may require specific GIS software to use fully.
