Description
53 adult male participants (15 with Beckers MD, 12 with Limb-Girdle MD, 12 with Fascioscapulohumeral MD, and 14 non-MD controls) completed assessments of sleep, body composition, quality of life, pain, fatigue, and function. The dataset includes objective 7-day 24-hour tri-axial accelerometer data and subjective sleep quality indices. Christopher Morse authored this dataset, last updated on 2026-05-28.
Use Cases
Compare subjective and objective sleep measures based on PSQI and accelerometer data mentioned in the description
Analyze associations between sleep quality and body composition based on bio-electrical impedance assessments
Investigate relationships between sleep impairment and patient-reported outcomes like pain, fatigue, and quality of life
Model differences in sleep patterns across muscular dystrophy subtypes (BMD, LGMD, FSHD) and controls
Strengths
Includes data from 53 participants across four distinct clinical groups
Combines 7-day 24-hour tri-axial accelerometer data with multiple validated self-report questionnaires (PSQI, ISI, SF36-v2, MFIS)
Contains associated clinical measures like body composition, pain, fatigue, and functional assessments (Brookes and Vignos)
Limitations
Row count is unknown, which may limit suitability assessment
Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download
The dataset is small at 19.5 KB, indicating limited scope
