River Basin LIDAR 2007: Digital Terrain and Surface Models for Northern Ireland

Terrain and surface elevation models for river basins derived from airborne LIDAR survey systems. The data consists of 1km x 1km tiles with elevations in a 1m x 1m grid, provided by OpenDataNI. Data acquired in 2009 and 2010 also includes Point Cloud files with a 0.2m irregular grid of elevations.

Use Cases

• Model flood risk and water flow based on high-resolution terrain elevation data.
• Analyze land surface changes and erosion patterns based on Digital Surface Models (DSMs).
