27 Japanese patients with Leber hereditary optic neuropathy (LHON) were followed for over 10 years, providing long-term visual acuity data. Best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA) was collected monthly from onset to 120 months, with piecewise linear models fitted over Acute, Chronic, and Late Chronic phases. The dataset, created by Yasuyuki Takai and shared under CC-BY-4.0, offers phase-specific benchmarks for a condition where long-term data is limited.
The dataset is very small (21.5 KB), indicating limited scope and likely a summary or model output rather than raw patient-level time series.
