72.2% of 400 sea-level-born workers with confirmed COVID-19 and intermittent high-altitude exposure showed spirometric abnormalities in 2024. This cross-sectional study by Jair Alonso Góngora-Bendezú, published on figshare in 2026, assessed sociodemographic, clinical, and occupational variables to identify predictors of abnormal lung function. It includes only A/B-quality spirometry data from workers exposed to altitudes over 2500 meters.
