Description
5.5 KB of simulation results from a study on coastal saline soils in Nanpi County, Hebei Province, China. The dataset, authored by Feng Li and last updated in May 2026, contains results from HYDRUS-1D model simulations calibrated with field data to quantify changes in soil water storage and salt accumulation under different groundwater depth scenarios over a ten-year period.
Use Cases
Modeling soil water storage changes based on groundwater depth scenarios described in the study
Analyzing salt accumulation patterns in the vadose zone based on simulated salinity data
Calibrating hydrological transport models for saline environments using the provided field and simulation data
Assessing agricultural sustainability risks based on the relationship between groundwater levels and topsoil salinization
Strengths
Model was calibrated with field data, achieving RMSE values below 0.05 for soil moisture and below 0.3 for soil salinity
Simulations cover a ten-year period and quantify specific impacts, such as a 45–47 cm increase in water storage when groundwater level was raised
Dataset is openly shared under a CC-BY-4.0 license
Limitations
Row count is unknown, which may limit suitability assessment
Column-level documentation is absent; field semantics must be inferred after download
The 5.5 KB size indicates a very limited scope, likely containing summary or aggregated results rather than raw time-series data
